Jonathan F. Stubbs
Mr. Stubbs is a lifelong resident of the State of Washington. Mr. Stubbs has been a licensed attorney since 1987. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington in 1983, and his J.D. from the University of Puget Sound/Seattle University Law School in 1986. His practice has been dedicated solely to representing injured people on personal injury claims, workers’ compensation claims, maritime injury claims, and social security disability claims. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Washington Association for Justice (WSAJ), American Association for Justice (AAJ), Public Justice, American Bar Association, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association. He is a 25 year Eagle member of the Washington Association for Justice and served on its Board of Governors from 2004 – 2016.
Mr. Stubbs has represented thousands of people throughout his career, before the State courts, Federal courts, Department of Labor and Industries, Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, and the Social Security Administration. He frequently serves as arbitrator in Superior Court cases under the Mandatory Arbitration system (MAR).
Cortney E. Henington
Ms. Henington is a lifetime resident of the State of Washington. She has worked as a paralegal, handling personal injury and workers’ compensation claims, since completing her paralegal training in 1996. She has been actively working as an indispensable part of Mr. Stubbs’ office for more than 20 years. Cortney knows that hard work, knowledge of the law, a positive and a kind outlook, combined with strong advocacy, are the keys to helping our clients get through the difficult times that come from their personal injuries and work-related injuries or disabilities. She is loved by the clients whose cases she handles, and respected by the claims adjusters and claims managers that she works with each day.
Carol L. Payne
Ms. Payne has worked a paralegal handling workers’ compensation claims and personal injury claims for over 22 years. She obtained her B.A. in Law and Justice from Central Washington University and has an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies. Carol has worked in many prominent law offices in the region, and has worked with Mr. Stubbs for over 4 years. Hard work, dedication to family, vast experience, and a strong desire to assist others has driven her career, and make her an outstanding and knowledgeable advocate for our injured clients.
Claire M. Stubbs
Claire Stubbs is the newest addition to our office. She works as a legal assistant and administrative assistant, and is quickly becoming an indispensable part of our team. Claire greets all our clients with a smile, and works hard to make sure that their needs are met upon arrival. She is quickly learning the skills of claims management and advocacy from our top-notch legal team. Claire also has her own photography business, which emphasizes her outstanding artistic skills.
